The Vinyl Restoration ProjectTM
Revitalizing the Legacy Vinyl SoundTM

“We're all about leveraging what technology now affords us and putting it to proper use to now allow us to 'resurrect our legacy vinyl to new heights' and then hear it like never before.”

“Don’t put it off any longer. Professionally clean and digitize your vinyl collection today and allow us to present it to you in the fullness that's always been there, just not as readily accessible......until now!”

As a high end music consumer and a vinyl music enthusiast, if you're like me, you want the best of both. You want to own your music in original vinyl format but you want to be able to consume it digitally. Today, technology literally affords us the capability to do both, and in incredible fashion, by allowing us to protect and preserve our precious vinyl collections, as well as, consume them digitally(read my white paper, “Why It is Important to Digitize Your Precious Vinyl” to find out the best way to consume my digital files). And you’ll be amazed at just how authentic, relaxed, warm and natural your collection will sound in its new digital home, just as if you were playing it through your traditional hi-fi system.

Or maybe you are just getting back into vinyl, as I did several years ago, or you plan on it and your legacy vinyl copies you own have been stored away for safe keeping since CD’’s and the digital age of music took over. Now would be a good time to take stock and get your vinyl that you own properly prepared for your turntable stereo system that you will be purchasing to begin enjoying your vinyl again by taking advantage of our professional cleaning service. You also might want to consider preserving the sound of your vinyl as it stands now before you start playing it again so that future plays will not lessen the sound anymore. I think you will want to take a serious look at what we can offer in that area now that today’s technology not only allows for it in an incredible sounding way but also allows for it with affordability where it might not have been before. So that now, preserving that wonderful sound forever is a very viable possibility and something that makes sense to do, especially if you enjoy listening to that special rich and warm sound of your legacy vinyl that only vinyl can have. Now you can hear that same warm and rich sound, preserved in time to degrade no further, by having it at your disposal digitally whenever you want to pull it up.

Or maybe you don’t intend on playing the vinyl you own anymore or seriously enough anymore to fool with owning a turntable to play it but instead would just like to consider taking advantage of another way to consume it and yet still be able to hear it like you remember with that warm, rich sound that playing back your legacy vinyl gave you on your high fidelity turntable stereo console from years gone by. Now with today’s technology, you can, and without having to own a high fidelity turntable stereo system to play it back on! And it is because of that technology and the advances in recent years of hardware such as various pro-gear and high fidelity equipment, along with software packages such as audio engineering and processing software that enables studios such as ours to produce digital content from alternative analog sourced material, such as legacy vinyl pressings, and then reproduce that same sound digitally and package it in a way that today’s digital music consumer can enjoy with the push of a button or click of a mouse and hear it in the same high quality, high fidelity warm and rich sound that you were used to years ago.

So don’t put it off any longer. Professionally clean and digitize your vinyl collection today and allow us to present it to you in a way that you may not have heard before!

  • Invest and build your vinyl collection. Your vinyl collection is personal and important to you.

  • It is an investment that needs to be protected and preserved. Don't wait until it's too late. Protect the investment….preserve the sound. Do it today.

About Me

That’s me in the studio, hard at work on ‘all things legacy’.

Original ‘artwork’ for The Vinyl Restoration Project YouTube Channel - 2014 - 2022

The beginnings of my interest in this idea of translating analog-to-digital by digitizing can be traced back to my early college days in the mid-80’s when I was first introduced to digitizing something analog and actually writing the programs in BASIC to control the digitizing using an Apple Macintosh computer. I got my first personal computer for home in 1994 and by the late 90’s (1999) I had added a Sony 2X CD Burner drive and successfully produced on CD a family home recording transferred and restored from an 8-track tape. And it was also during this time that my passion began to grow into how to make something analog converted to digital sound the best it can be while staying true to its original intent. As prices for hardware began to drop and development of the hard drive for PC’s at home reached the capacity level needed to capture the raw audio at the greatest resolution necessary coupled with the industry return of vinyl beginning in the mid-2000’s, the beginnings of where I am today began to emerge and by 2007, I had the makings of a professional ‘rig’ to capture the audio as it needed to be captured. A career change and a new education in Visual Communications and then one of its concentrations, Music Technology, soon followed. Along with spending time honing my craft while attending school, I also started a YouTube Channel devoted to it in 2014. Another degree earned and the solidification then of my audio engineering technique (Legacy Sound Engineering) needed to cap off my creations of legacy music for the 21st century came to being by mid-2020 with the ‘leap of faith’ for a studio of my own by early 2021 and here we are.

I am also very much a preservationist and archive buff of film and music and support those organizations that dedicate their time and talents towards that end. I hope to be able to incorporate some of what I do into serving as a support partner with some of them to assist where needed, particularly with ‘lending my ear’ when it comes to anything involving alternate sources of audio that require extensive audio restoration work.

My wife and I currently reside in Middle Tennessee, just outside of Nashville and we love serving others and our community. When I am not in the studio, I enjoy sight-seeing with my wife and visiting some of our surrounding communities and small towns in the area as well. I also am a huge old movie buff (can you tell from the pic?) especially B comedy and mystery movies from the 30’s and 40’s.
