We offer two services...
Let The Vinyl Restoration ProjectTM help professionally clean and digitize your precious vinyl collection today!
Backed by over fifteen years experience with 'All-Things-Vinyl', we run a professional audio post-production studio specially built to perform very high level professional-grade vinyl-to-digital conversions by using a special blend of select, sound-synergized and customized state-of-the-art high fidelity equipment and pro-audio studio gear. And we've reserved a portion of that studio space, technology and expertise to be able to handle invidividual vinyl needs like preserving your personal vinyl collection.
Want us to preserve your collection? We offer two services to cover everything - Vinyl Collection Digital Preservation Service and Professional Vinyl Cleaning Service for those that just need us to professionally clean your precious vinyl for now.
Do you own a business?
Will you help us spread the word and support small businesses? Feel free to download our business flyer (8.5 X 11 and 6X4 postcard versions) and post/distribute them in your business/e-business, if it makes sense to do so, and then let us know. We’ll make sure and apply it towards your next purchase and/or pay it forward by offering free advertising for your business on our website.
The Vinyl Restoration Project Business Flyer - 8.5 x 11
The Vinyl Restoration Project Business Flyer - 6 x 4 - Front Only
Still can't decide on the preservation service and want to know how yours will sound to help you decide?
Send us a request to 'try-before-you-buy' and offer up one or two selections from your favorite vinyl albums from your collection and we will perform a test run for you so you can hear how it will sound. If you don't like it, no obligation and no charge. But we think you will fall in love with our sound. It is a sound we worked very hard to get right. And it is very authentic to the original vinyl sound and very natural to the human ear in its digitized state.
Technology now allows us to literally have the best of both. And you can stop the 'hands of time' that taxes any vinyl collection with each play from further degradation of sound. You won't hear it or notice it after each play because each play is relative to the previous play. But it is happening. Why not put a stop to it and capture the sound as it is today with a high-level quality digitized copy that is in replicated fashion? It will never degrade in sound quality and it comes with the convenience that digital provides. Now you can listen to your collection just like you are listening to it on your hi-fi stereo equipment, only now you can enjoy it in high resolution format on your hi-res portable player/equipment and you’ll be amazed at how it sounds.
What you need to know -
-
1 - 3 LP’s - Customers pay for shipping.
4 or more LP’s - Shipping is free
The recommendation for shipping is to use USPS and their Media Mail service. It is without a doubt the best and safest way to ship your vinyl to me and back. And I can speak from authority on that. I have used it for years (and years!) now and their record is perfect! But you need to make sure you use their mailers and to NOT ship anymore than three LP’s per mailer. Also, don’t forget to label the packaging as ‘Fragile’. It helps!
Please note: The cost to clean, process and ship four or more LP’s at a time goes down significantly enough that I am able to charge less per LP on anything four or more. So it literally pays, if you can, to order at least four at a time per order.
-
For mail in customers only, please limit your orders to no more than 12 LP’s per individual customer at this time. Thank you.
Also, at this time, all orders smaller than twelve LP’s will need to be mailed to my business address and this includes all local orders as well. For orders greater than a quantity of twelve, I can only accept local orders at this time and arrangements will be made for pick-up and deliveries of the LP’s when finished.
For all orders, each LP will be given a brand new poly-lined record sleeve to house them for proper storage after they have been cleaned and Milty-anti-static discharged.
Please note: The cost to clean, process and ship four or more LP’s at a time goes down significantly enough that I am able to charge less per LP on anything four or more. So it literally pays, if you can, to order at least four at a time per order. And again, shipping is free on orders of four or more.
As of now, turnaround time per order is two to four weeks to completion of each order once I receive your legacy vinyl. This is a ‘one man’ studio operation and my time for my day(primary) job of providing services for the labels and studios is reserved for the weekdays with the vinyl care part of the business reserved for individual consumers and makes up the secondary part of the business operations reserved for most nights and weekends as it stands now. That is subject to change and will remain flexible as time goes on, for example, peak vs. non-peak times for labels/studios and their business so there may be times that it is slow and I will move the secondary business operations to the primary weekday operations or vice-versa.
I will keep you informed on the status of your order and/or if circumstances warrant an adjustment of the current turnaround timeframe of 2 - 4 weeks. Also, you can always email me for a status of your order and/or if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you and I appreciate your patience and understanding.

For the Vinyl Collection Digital Preservation Service, you will receive a 'light polish' of the high-yield translated audio. Specifically, the post processing of the audio will be limited to just light corrective EQ treatments, minor enhancements and/or light duty cleanup/noise reductions.
The minor enhancements are light additional post audio treatments that get applied primarily to further accentuate a legacy recording’s noteworthy ‘embellishments’ that are part of that recording and that need to be properly and gently given treatments to allow for today’s much improved digital listening environments and/or its compatibility. So for example, these are treatments that seek to gently enhance or allow a legacy recordings inherent 'embellishments' come forward a bit or 'poke through' for your listening enjoyment that are noteworthy in a recording., i.e. Bill Porter's incredible low-end embellishments that are so prevalent in so many of his audio engineered works.
In addition, the ‘light duty cleanup/noise reductions’ primarily are designed to address the lowering of the noise floor that accompanies any LP transfer. This will include, but is not necessarily limited to: low-level rumble, low-level hum and/or harsh vocal sibilant noise artifacts inherent to one degree or another in an LP digital transfer, etc.
Note: There will be no audio restoration and/or major enhanced audio treatments i.e. ‘sound-vision’ elements applied due to conflict of interest clause in the contractual agreements with the labels and studios. Once the industry establishes a ‘Vinyl Master’ official designation and procurement standard, this will need to be modified and/or the guidelines modified to add the specifics surrounding the vinyl master and ‘the sound’.
Finally, I’m adding an option(radio button box that says “1:1 Transfer’ for you to ‘select’ in order to specify, if you wish, for me to perform only 1:1 transfers with absolutely no additional post processing applied, unless indicated in specificity in the ‘Additional Requests/Comments’ Box. For example, you may want to have a 1:1 ‘raw’ transfer but with just ‘declicking’ post-processing, etc. If so, please select the ‘1:1 Transfer’ in the form and then specify the ‘declicking post treatment’ in the ‘Additional Requests’ Box.
The purpose of this addition is to allow you to hear your legacy vinyl ‘As Is’ in order to leave intact those characteristics of ‘the vinyl playback’ that you may find endearing and as part of the ‘appeal of the listen’. In other words, some people want to hear those clicks and pops as it adds to the ‘character of their listen’ and the enjoyment they get from it.
Note: Our professional processes/treatments have been customized to take advantage of what is best for the individual music consumer market and our Vinyl Care services we offer. They are therefore, not necessarily the same as those applied for the legacy audio industry in most cases for legal reasons and for reasons that make the best sense for the consumption of this music at home. In addition, many of the processes(mainly dealing with audio restoration) as a whole are strictly prohibited and are reserved for the professional community. This includes many in depth audio restoration treatments. All of the processes not used and/or customized are to protect and preserve those that are reserved solely for the work I perform for the professional community. (Read below for additional clarification.)
The specific legal jargon reads: Any advanced audio post-processing including audio restoration, in-depth intrusive surgical repair and/or ‘sound-vision’ audio treatments is strictly prohibited and therefore, to be reserved and limited to the creation of the digital HFE audio product/service solely for those parties involved in and/or who are bound to the current standing legal agreements already set forth between the studio and all parties therein contained, specifically, the clents for whom the products and/or services are being produced for. Therefore, any and all existing legal restraints involving the professional obligations currently being held and concerning the studio and the labels/studios legally prevents and/or forbids any additional advanced processing of any audio to any parties outside the existing legal contracts to avoid any conflict of interest and/or any appearance of. and/or any appearance of for evidence of impropriety for those existing contracts that are bound to the existing legal agreements.
Your Vinyl Collection is an investment and it is something personal. We offer two services designed to give you the ultimate in professional and proper vinyl care and to help you get the most out of your collection by helping it sound the best it can be, while serving to protect and preserve the vinyl and the sound for years to come.
Our services are designed to accommodate both 7”, 10”, and 12” vinyl only discs at 331/3 and 45rpm speeds and so these are acceptable formats. Unfortunately, at this time, no styrene 7” 331/3 or 45rpm or 10” 78rpm discs are acceptable. Please specify in your order what type discs/vinyl records you are requesting to have cleaned and/or digitized.
We offer two services: Vinyl Collection Digital Preservation Service and Professional Vinyl Cleaning Service.
Our Professional Vinyl Cleaning Service ensures you will be able to hear your collection at its optimum listening level and also ensures your vinyl is properly prepared for lasting enjoyment by helping to protect and preserve it. Our service also includes new protectant sleeves to store them in while they are not being used and an application of the Milty Zerostat Gun to ensure static buildup removal before placing them in the sleeves for storage. It gets your collection where it needs to be to ensure that with just a little preventive maintenance along the way you will be able to enjoy it for years to come. After undergoing our preventative maintenance cleaning, your vinyl will only need an occasional light go-around once or twice of an anti-static cleaning brush applied to your vinyl record for an occasional dust particle removal and static discharge. We also recommend purchasing a Milty Zerstat Gun if you don’t have one already for occasional preventative maintenance.
And for the ultimate in long term care and the protection and preservation of your vinyl collection, we offer our Vinyl Collection Digital Preservation Service which includes the professional cleaning service bundled in with the pricing but it also provides you with the added security of having your vinyl sound at its optimum level before it degrades any further to be digitized for you to always be able to hear the sound as it was at its best! This will ensure that the golden sound of analog vinyl will last a lifetime and will always be at your fingertips for your listening pleasure. Let us help protect and preserve it for you today!
